In the centre of the city of Paris, in the mythical Elysian Fields, it is located the Monumental Triumph Arch which was ordered to build by the Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. In its columns are engraved the names of the towns where the triumphs of the most important imperial armies were developed. One of those names  is   ESPINOSA, our   Espinosa de los Monteros, where November 10th and 11th in 1808, the Spanish Army called “Left’s Army”, under the command of General Joaquin Blake fought against a selection of the first and fourth French Army Corps, under the command of the Generals Claude P. Victor and François-Joseph Lefebvre respectively.Espinosa’s Battle is the culmination of a sequence of movements and confrontations throughout the north of Spain that are summed up in the following headings:
